If you install Remote Desktop Connection Manager v2.7 on Windows 10, you might notice that the resolution of the Remote Desktop doesn’t display properly and the contents of the remote window do not fit. This is because the client window tries to match your screen’s resolution. It doesn’t leave room for things like the Windows Start menu and the left hand navigation in the Connection Manager itself. After a little trial and error, I figured out a solution. I had to change it so that the resolution of the remote window didn’t match my desktop resolution. Here’s how you do that:
- Right-click Remote Desktops (top level) & click Properties
- Click the Remote Desktop Settings tab
- Select “Same as client area” as pictured below
- Click OK
Hopefully that helps. Leave a comment if you have any problems or questions.
