Are you looking for a free tool to manage your Remote Desktop connections in a flexible and expandable way? Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan) is the right tool for you.
I had been using the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) to manage my Remote Desktop connections at work for years. It got the job done, but it was seriously lacking a way to easily organize and rearrange your connections. There’s no way to go back and sort your connections out into groups or drag and drop connections to a different group after your initial setup. If you have used MMC for remote desktop connections for any length of time, you probably understand the frustration.
After years of searching for a suitable replacement for MMC, I’ve finally found it!
Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager (updated link to ver. 2.7 on 10/10/15)
This application flew under the radar for a while, but hopefully that will all change now. If you are looking for a free program to manage your Remote Desktop connections, this is the tool for you. It is lightweight, flexible, and is intuitive to use. It has all of the functionality of MMC and more. This is what MMC SHOULDhave been.
Give Remote Desktop Connection Manager a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
